Rectangular top plate in the centre ornamental field decorated in animal style. Rim with surrounding decorative frieze consisting of 15 connected heads. Bow with centre bar and meander bands. Diamond-shaped base plate with a border depicting animals, a central knot motif and niello decoration. The brooch is native to the Scandinavian art circle and can probably be linked to Jutland. It was probably made in the first half of the 6th century. H. Kühn assigned the brooch to his Kings-Field type. However, his dating is too young. (L. Grunwald)
