Description

A female figure stands on a low stand, leaning against an Ionic column with her left leg loosely set to one side. With her lowered right hand she pulls the flap of the cloak, which only covers the lower part of her body, a little to the side. With her left arm resting on the column she supports her head and at the same time holds the tail of the cloak, which is pulled up to her head like a sail at the back of the figure and is once again visible between the column and the figure in a rich folding. Type and clothing refer to the goddess Aphrodite. (AVS)
