Die Münze wurde in Trier mit dem Porträt des Constantius I. Chlorus geprägt. Der Beiname "chlorus" ist nicht zeitgenössisch und wurde dem Kaiser erst später zugewiesen. Das Wort "chlorus" bedeutet ungefähr grünlich oder blass. Constantius I. war der Vater Constantins des Großen. (SV)
