Schiffsdarstellung. Seitenansicht des Raddampfers "Washington". Das Dampfschiff fährt unter amerikanischer Flagge. Die Lithografie erschien beim amerikanischen Verlag N. Currier (Gründer war Nathaniel Currier (1813-1888)). Da sich der Name des Verlages 1852 änderte, muss der Druck früher entstanden sein. Signaturen: "LITH. & PUB. BY N. CURRIER", Bildunterschriften: "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1847 by N. Currier in the Clerks office of the District Court of the Southern District of N. Y.", "152 NASSAU ST. COR. OF SPRUCE N. Y.", "STEAM SHIP WASHINTON/ BELONGING TO THE OCEAN STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY, FREDERICK HEWITT COMMANDER./ Two engines of 1000 horse power each. _ 1750 Tons burthen./ Ship built by Westervelt & Mc. Ray./ Engines built by Stillman, Allen & Co. Novelty Works./ B.
