Description

Original jugs of this type have a squat body with a cloverleaf mouth. They were a popular gift given to young children in the context of the festival of chous. Therefore, the subject matter of the painting often refers to scenes from the everyday life of young children. (AVS)

Zwei nackte Knaben im Spiel nach rechts. Da sich das Bildmotiv vom Untergrund löst, könnte es sich um eine Fälschung handeln; die rotfigurige Technik wäre somit nur vorgetäuscht.
