Die „Nacht von Hannover“

Hannover war in Deutschland lange Zeit als eine der Hochburgen für Radsportveranstaltungen aller Art bekannt. Die „Nacht von Hannover“ ist ein Straßenrennen, ein sogenanntes Radsport-Kriterium. Dabei handelt es sich um einen Wettbewerb auf einem kurzen, mehrmals zu umfahrenden Rundkurs. Die „Nacht von Hannover“ wurde 1975 erstmalig ausgetragen und erreichte bis zu 85.000 Zuschauer (2003). Nach mehrmaliger Unterbrechung mangels Sponsoren findet sie seit 2016 wieder regelmäßig statt.
