Description

Standing female figures in chiton and coat, the right leg set to the side. From the right bent arm a bundle of folds runs over the body to the right hip and is held there by the lowered left. Melon hairstyle. The statuette is at the beginning of a series of types that can be traced, with slight changes, well into the 3rd century BC. - Type of imitation of Boeotian Tanagra figures made in Lower Italy.
