Description

The type of the seated or enthroned female person appeared in Attica towards the end of the 6th century BC. We can think of a model based on an Athena cult image that the artists may have seen on the Athenian Acropolis. (AVS)

Sitzende weibliche Figur mit schmalem Diadem, Ohrschmuck und welligem Haar. Unterseite geschlossen mit Stabloch. Zustand: Füße bestoßen, versintert.
